INKFRONT

A real-time strategy game with one verb. You draw your battle line with a finger, and your men march out and hold it.

INKFRONT — two armies facing each other along a drawn front, territory shaded orange and blue

The line is the game

Draw your front further forward and your men advance into the gap. Draw it thin and the enemy walks through the hole. Where the line sits, how well it is manned, and whether it holds when two armies meet in the middle of it — that is the whole game.

There are no menus to learn, no build orders to memorise, and no tutorial to sit through. One finger, one verb, and a war that answers back.

A match with an ending

A war takes about ten minutes and finishes properly. The end screen tells you the story of the one you just fought — what you made, what you lost, which lines held, and why it ended. Then you can watch the whole thing back, or take a rematch on the same ground.
