Refunds
Effective 18 September 2026 · Version 1.1
If you paid for one of our games and you are not happy with it, we want you to get your money back. You do not have to explain yourself, and you do not have to argue with us.
Política de reembolsos en español · Politique de remboursement en français
Where our games are sold, and who holds the money
Our games are distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store. You never pay us directly. The store takes the payment, and the store is where a refund has to come from.
The two stores work differently, and it changes what we are able to do, so please find yours below.
Games we release for free have nothing to refund. This page applies only if you paid for a game, or for something inside one.
Google Play — we can refund you ourselves
Within 48 hours of buying, Google will refund you directly, without asking us. This is the fastest route:
- Go to play.google.com/store/account signed in to the Google account that paid, or open the Play Store app and tap Payments and subscriptions → Budget and order history.
- Find the order and choose Request a refund or Report a problem.
- Google usually processes it in one to four business days.
After 48 hours, Google sends you to us — and our answer is yes. If you bought within the last 30 days and you are unhappy for any reason, email us and we will approve the refund. No reason required. We do not ask how long you played, and we do not make you troubleshoot first.
Apple App Store — only Apple can refund you
On the App Store, Apple is the seller. Your purchase is with Apple, the money is held by Apple, and under Apple's rules we are not able to issue a refund ourselves — however much we would like to. Any developer who tells you otherwise is mistaken.
To ask Apple:
- Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that paid.
- Find the purchase, choose Request a refund, and pick the reason that fits.
- Apple reviews it and decides. This usually takes a day or two.
What we will do: email us and we will support your request in writing, and respond to anything Apple asks us. What we cannot do: overrule Apple. If Apple refuses you and you think that is unfair, tell us anyway — it tells us something is wrong with the game, the price or the store page, and that is worth knowing.
How to reach us
Email contact@secondexitinteractive.com with:
- The game's name
- Which store you bought from
- Your order number — Google Play order numbers start with
GPA.; Apple sends a receipt by email with an order ID - The date of purchase
We aim to reply within five business days. We never see or handle your card details, on either store.
After 30 days
Write to us anyway. We will still consider it on Google Play, and still support your request to Apple — particularly if the game stopped working, or a change we made broke something for you.
Your legal rights come first
Nothing on this page limits the rights you have under consumer law where you live — including United States state consumer protection law, in Canada the consumer protection legislation of your province, and in Mexico the Federal Consumer Protection Law (Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor), with PROFECO. If the law entitles you to more than this policy offers, the law wins.
One thing we cannot help with
We can only deal with purchases made through Google Play or the Apple App Store. If you paid for something calling itself one of our games anywhere else, please tell us — it is not ours, and we would like to know about it.
